The Azalea Garden Club and others in the community gathered on December 6, 2019 on The Marion Hike-Bike Trail for the annual Arbor Day Celebration. The planting of two Muskogee Crepe Myrtles in Memory of Azalea Garden Club Members Carolyn Thomas and Dot Redfern.   The Marion Azalea Garden Club sponsored a Leaf contest for students at Marion Intermediate School. The school had three winners: Timoya Carter won with first place; Joshua Reaves earned second place; and Taliyah Kirby received third place.  We are so proud of our students for their wonderful accomplishments.  Thanks to all our guest speakers, local officials and the citizens of Marion and surrounding areas for taking the time to come out and be a part of this great celebration.
