The City of Marion congratulates longtime Recreation Department employee Robbie Johnson on his recent retirement. Robbie was a student when he was first hired by the City in 1979. He became a full-time employee with the Recreation Department in 1988. Robbie directed programs at Grice’s Recreation Center for many years and worked as the custodian for our many recreation facilities and buildings. He served the children and citizens of Marion for over 38 years and retired on September 22, 2017. “Robbie Johnson was a great employee and asset to the Marion Recreation Department,” said City Administrator Alan Ammons, adding that Robbie was always courteous and helpful to others. Congratulation Robbie Johnson! We appreciate your years of service and wish you the best in your retirement!
