Christmas is almost here! That means it’s time to help our neighbors and time to deliver the City of Marion’s “Food for Friends” boxes! This program is made possible by the many residents and businesses who donated the funds, the Marion Food Lion employees who packed the boxes, and the Marion Fire and Police Departments who are delivering the boxes full of food to folks less fortunate in our area. The Food for Friends deliveries include a large box with all the trimmings and fixings for a Christmas meal that will help recipients through a financially difficult time of year. The City of Marion facilitates this community project. YOU, the community, actually make the boxes a reality! Thank you all for your generous contributions!
