Executive Director Anne Burroughs of the Marion Housing Authority hosted a Community Outreach Gathering on September 29, 2017 in the Rosewood Housing Complex. Mrs. Burroughs opened the invitation to the residents of the housing complex, City of Marion officials, Marion Police Department and Marion Fire Department. The goal of this gathering was to help the housing authority residents become more acquainted with the police and fire departments in the community. The gathering was very well attended. Mayor Ashley Brady, City Administrator Alan Ammons, and Council Members Tassie Lewis, Joseph Frazier and Michael Baker were all in attendance. Also in attendance were Police Chief Dewayne Tennie and Assistant Fire Chief Jackie Yates, along with other police officers and firefighters.
