Mayor Brady welcomed and thanked everyone for coming out and taking a part in the tree planting event on Saturday.  Remarks were also given by SC Forestry Commission Mr. Scott Phillips, Mr. Greg Meisch from FedEx, Ms. Lachel Bradley-Williams from the Arbor Day Foundation, Nebraska and Ms. Sharon Richardson of Audubon, Mrs. Frances Waite did a planting demonstration on the proper way to plant a tree.  Volunteers got into groups and planted trees.
